Funding

The SMUEC currently operates employability programs that can help you grow your business by providing funding to hire new employees

Access Ability

We are a participant focused program, dedicated to providing inclusive hiring through federal wage subsidies to employers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Options Youth

We provide a significant wage subsidy to employers to assist their hiring of priority youth in the Halifax Regional Municipality. We help employers cover the cost of training while helping priority youth (age 15-30) overcome multiple barriers to employment, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make a successful transition to the labour market or return to school.

Talent Fund

Our Talent Fund helps small companies and start-ups grow their teams by providing employers with a wage subsidy, coaching, and additional supports to help enrich their business.

Work Smarts

We provide wage subsidies to employers to assist their hiring of a recent graduate. Last year, we placed over 60 recent graduates in career related positions with small- and medium-sized enterprises.
