Earlier this week the Enactus Saint Mary’s team competed in the Enactus Atlantic Regional Exposition at the Halifax Convention Centre. The team prepared four 5-minute presentations to showcase their impact on specific topics including financial literacy, youth empowerment, environmental, and entrepreneurship. The team also participated in a project accelerator challenge, where they pitched their Options Youth project to RBC executives.

The Enactus team was named Regional Champion in three topic challenges including CWB Financial Education, Scotiabank Environmental, and TD Entrepreneurship. They also took home Runner Up for the Scotiabank Youth challenge and received a $2,500 investment from RBC Future Launch. More than 100 students from all faculties at Saint Mary’s are members of the team. Together they have volunteered over 3,500 hours towards operating and growing their various community projects and social enterprise, Square Roots.
