The Pipeline

The Pipeline is a social innovation accelerator designed to provide students and community groups the opportunity to ideate and launch sustainable social enterprises.

The Pipeline is currently accepting 20 ambitious science and engineering students who are eager to use their knowledge to solve the world greatest challenges. 

Innovation Assessment

To help our clients understand how to embed innovation in every layer of their businesses, we’ve created an Innovation Assessment.

We’ve taken what we know about working with innovative companies and put together three separate innovation assessment scales so you know where your company is doing well, and where it might improve.

ENbassador Program

SMUEC student ENbassadors were welcomed to the team on Wednesday, by  SMU President Dr. Summerby-Murray, Vice-Presidents, and Faculty Deans.

Twelve student entrepreneurship ambassadors from the faculties of Science, Arts, and Commerce, and the Masters in Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation will promote entrepreneurial activities on campus throughout the year.

The  Saint Mary’s University Entrepreneurship Centre (SMUEC) is a leading provider of university-based business support services in Atlantic Canada. Over the past 25 years, the SMUEC has worked to enhance our community’s prosperity by helping business and student leaders reach their entrepreneurial potential.

Recognized regionally, nationally and globally for our programming, the SMUEC supports leaders through consulting, training, promoting entrepreneurship and cultivating community connections.

Growth Matters

Growth Matters is a new coaching program offered by the SMUEC. We are offering coaching packages to select companies with growth potential to help them make decisions around how to approach new opportunities or deal with nagging problems.

Our coaches use a custom assessment, and coaching tools from Growth Wheel International, to move your business forward.

The Options Youth Program is an employment wage subsidy program, facilitated by the Saint Mary’s University Entrepreneurship Centre and funded by Service Canada. We provide a significant wage subsidy to employers to assist their hiring of priority youth in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

The objectives of Options Youth are to help employers cover the cost of training while helping priority youth (age 15-30) overcome multiple barriers to employment, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make a successful transition to the labour market or return to school.
